Please join Girls on the Run Saginaw Bay in celebrating and showcasing women’s voices at LUNAFEST — a virtual film festival spotlighting short films by and about women. LUNAFEST offers our community an opportunity to witness and reflect on the vast diversity of women’s stories and perspectives.
This LUNAFEST line up has been exclusively curated for GOTR and includes four films: Knocking Down the Fences, Overexposed, Connection and Betye Saar: Taking Care of Business, plus a special interview with filmmaker Meg Shutzer and pro softball player and Gold Glove winner AJ Andrews from the film Knocking Down the Fences that will run after the films.
Starting at 6 pm EST on October 14th, 2021, we will kick off our 2021 LUNAFEST event. The films will be available to view for 2 days, through 6 PM EST on October 16th, 2021. You will receive a Vimeo link and passcode the morning of your event date and you may watch the films on a computer or your TV.
Tickets are $10 per household, and additional donations are welcome. All proceeds will benefit Girls on the Run Saginaw Bay, a non-profit with a mission to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. Now, more than ever, our focus on developing girls' inner strength and resilience is critical.
