Virtual Screening: Bethany - Refugee and Immigrant Services (Grand Rapids, MI)

March 8th is International Women's Day. Honor, acknowledge, and celebrate women's voices and stories with us. This screening features the documentary, MORE THAN I WANT TO REMEMBER the story of fourteen-year-old Mugeni Ornella's journey for safety, family, and home. Mugeni's participation in our programs, wisdom, and the experiences she shared with us shaped our programs to better serve foster youth and prepare foster parents. Mugeni's story shows that youth are not just clients or numbers, they are innovators and future leaders. After the screening, view a Q&A with Mugeni Ornella and filmmaker Amy Bench. Also learn how foster parents can support and walk alongside youth as they prosper from refugee and immigrant foster care recruiter, Claire Hopkins.
