LUNAFEST Russell Sage College, Troy, New York Hosted by Women’s Institute at Russell Sage College
Help support girls’ and womens’ empowerment! Attend our first LUNAFEST Film Festival in historic downtown Troy on Thursday, April 30, 2020, hosted by the Women’s Institute at Russell Sage College. LUNAFEST is a series of short films by and about women. And yes, men are absolutely invited, too.
The Women's Institute at Sage is dedicated to preserving the feminist and social justice ideals upon which Russell Sage was founded, with a transformative focus on values of equality and gender inclusivity. The Institute is designed to be a regional and national resource for intellectual discourse, scholarship and pedagogy.
All proceeds will benefit the MoonCatcher Project. Russell Sage College students have partnered with MoonCatcher Project to better understand how they can create change locally and globally, specifically in relation to human rights.
Before the films and during intermission, students will be selling raffle tickets and concessions to benefit the MoonCatcher Project. Cash, check, and credit cards will be accepted.
NOTE: Films featured in LUNAFEST are not rated but we suggest age 14+ for this season's lineup. Tickets are $10.00 in Advance, $15.00 at the door, Sage students FREE
Doors Open at 6:30 PM. Screening begins at 7 PM.
