Soroptimist International of Soroptimist San Jacinto Hemet Valley invites you to attend our 11th LUNAFEST® Film Festival.
LUNAFEST®, featuring a program of 7 short films all by and about women, will be held in-person on May 5th at the American Legion #53 and begin virtually Friday, May 5th. The LUNAFEST films may be viewed anytime during the initial 48 hour window and you will have 48 hours to complete the viewing. These films celebrate the unique, touching and inspirational roles of women in local, national and international communities. Enjoy an introduction by our Club along with recognition of our Live Your Dream & High School Community Service Scholarship award winners.
Funds support education, especially for women and girls, including the club’s annual Live Your Dream Awards, for women who are the primary breadwinner in the family and are returning to school against all odds.
The heart of the Soroptimist mission is "improving the lives of women and girls through social and economic empowerment". Soroptimist International of San Jacinto Hemet Valley focuses its efforts on projects to assist women and girls in the local area and globally through programs administered by Soroptimist International of the Americas.
Proceeds will benefit the Soroptimist of San Jacinto Hemet Valley Live Your Dream programs, Dream It, Be It: Girl Power Conference for middle school girls, Community Service High School Scholarships, and our service projects, along with Chicken & Egg Pictures, which supports women nonfiction filmmakers.
