Girls That Create is thrilled to announce we’re hosting a virtual LUNAFEST® on November 12, 2021, benefiting nonprofits Chicken & Egg Pictures and Future Front Texas. Since its launch in 2001, LUNAFEST® has celebrated the work of over 170 filmmakers in 2,500 screenings nationwide. These important films bring fresh perspectives and inspire communities. LUNAFEST® has also made an impact at the local level, helping to raise over $6 million for women’s causes while providing a celebrated platform for women filmmakers.
How Does the Virtual Film Fest Work? Audience members can screen the films starting at 7 p.m. Friday, November 12 through 7 p.m. Sunday, November 14. You may watch at your leisure, any time of the day. The streaming platform for LUNAFEST is Eventive Virtual screenings, which offers seamless viewing (including Apple TV, Roku, Chromecast, Fire TV apps).
How Do I Sign Up? Tickets are $12.50 per person, $6.50 per students, and will give you access to stream the event. Once you start watching, you’ll have 24 hours to view the films. Viewers may skip ahead, go back, or watch as many times as they like during that period.
Viewer Recommendation: Festival films are recommended for ages 16+. Movies feature strong women, powerful images, and impactful language. Stories reflect the diverse perspectives of the filmmakers and their subjects.
