Joey Ally

Joey Ally is an award-winning writer/director/actor from New York residing in Los Angeles. She is an alum of Amherst College, the Williamstown Theater Festival, and the AFI Directing Workshop for Women 2016, and received her film mentoring from Megan Griffiths and Lynn Shelton.

Joey's films MINIMUM WAGE (wrote/directed - debut) and PARTNERS (directed/produced) have screened at Sundance, Palm Springs International Shortfest, Aspen ShortFest, LAFF, NBCUniversal ShortFest, BFI:Flare, Outfest and 40+ more. PARTNERS will premiere online through the new "Vimeo Premieres" platform on November 16th. Her "The LA Office" won video of the year 2015 at WME/IMG.

Joey loves crafting layered comedies of sliding darkness with non-traditional protagonists that make people laugh, cry, and think differently - she's currently developing several projects, including her LGBT feature THE BRIDESMAN.
