Sophie Ohara

Sophie Ohara is an animator and illustrator having recently completed her MFA in animation through the Division of Animation and Digital Arts at the University of Southern California. Her work explores the complex existences behind the ordinary and familiar. She has made several animated films using hand drawn, stop motion, and 3-D techniques. Dog and Pockets are two films created while in the MFA program. Currently, Sophie is finishing her latest film, a stop motion piece, to be completed this winter. She lives in Los Angeles with her spoiled dog, Beau.
