Since its inception in 2000, LUNAFEST has traveled to hundreds of communities throughout the U.S. and Canada – including many out of the way towns and cities far off the typical “film festival path.” The actual events are as varied and unique as the LUNAFEST films themselves. Some have been held in grand concert halls and theaters, others in simple class rooms and community centers. There have been events on university campuses, others in business parks. Some have included live entertainment, auctions and captivating entertainment, while others have been intimate and streamlined. But no matter what the size, location or event was like, all LUNAFEST events share in their power to build awareness and funds for important causes, compelling conversation and change in our communities.
